Sales Director – Mexico

As the company is expanding globally rapidly, we have decided to open a new Sales Director role for the Mexican market.
We are looking for a Sales Director with at least 8 years of experience in ad sales in the mobile and/or digital space to spearhead the transfer of campaign budgets towards mobile mainly through Media Agencies and also directly through Advertisers.
Your primary task will be to help launch operations in Mexico by introducing and leading the conversations for the use of our marketing platform, Sonata, to media agencies and other demand partners; in parallel you will be tasked with increasing TAPTAP´s strategic positioning in the Mexican ad/marketing tech space, identifying key brands and maximizing their branding investments, through data-driven projects.
You will need to feel comfortable working with international support offices based out of Bogota and Madrid while being a team leader as you help hiring the local Mexican sales and operations team.
In the same way, your position must intensely interact with the CEO and CTO with respect to the strategy definition, product coordination and the execution of data-driven branding projects. You will periodically report business performance to the CFO, ensuring the national business plan evolution.
The best candidates are new business achievers (Hunters, not Farmers) have a good knowledge of the digital/ mobile sector and the respective media agencies in the market. The winner is a team player with clear client orientation and with strong ability towards adapting in an extremely fast moving environment. The attitude is that of proactivity towards new challenges being able to prioritize and work under pressure. The best candidates have a natural born tendency for innovation, continuously keeping updated on the new intricacies of a complex industry while being able to explain these in a simple manner.
Requirements of the role:
The role will be base out of the Mexico DF office, reporting to C level corporate-wide.
The offer includes a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus and Employees Stock Option Plan access.
Salary Range: Depending on experience and expertise.
