We are looking for a Spanish speaking Financial Controller with at least 5 years of experience. This role will cover maternity leave for the period of approx. 7 months.

Responsibilities - What You'll do day to day

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and management of financial reporting of different countries and business units (USA, LATAM, Spain, etc) being responsible for the overall consolidated reporting.
  • Responsible for producing monthly consolidated financial reports in accordance with local standard accounting.
  • Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts. 
  • Review of tax obligations (monthly).
  • Creates work plans, ownership of KPIs, to define team priorities and coordinates teams to ensure completion and inputs into performance.
  • Treasury management (credit control/collection and payments, etc.).
  • Work with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues.
  • Continuous contact and relationship with financial institutions.
  • Responsible for consolidated cash management and forecast and supervision of all intercompany transactions in line with transfer pricing policy.
  • Assist to collect and summarize the financial and business information by using various reporting tools. 
  • Organise & Lead the review process in the countries both for initial set up and continuous improvement, get to conclusion on how to implement changes, ensuring coordination & consistency.
  • Provide margins & pricing analysis and recommendations. Pro-actively support the efficiency increase operations (analysing potential cost saving).
  • Collaborate and support in those activities necessary for the supervision of the external audit services received.
  • Application, justification and auditing of funding and R&D projects.
  • Will be required to assist COO on special projects as directed M&A activity and Corporate Development (partnerships, JV´s, etc…).

Profile & Requirements                                                                                                                                               

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. A Master Degree will be a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Financial / Controlling roles as well corporate development management.
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish is a must.
  • Excellent knowledge of Spanish General Accounting Plan (Plan General Contable Español).
  • Experience in fast growth tech companies will be extremely valued.
  • Overseas experience would be an important asset.
  • Experience in the digital advertising industry will be a plus.
  • High level of English is a must.
  • SAP deep knowledge is very desirable as well.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes & understanding of control requirement.
  • Proven ability to understand/ learn business issues and reconcile with the needs of standardization and effectiveness.
  • Project management experience, focus in ERP and company systems improvement. High IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently with low supervision, while demonstrating initiative and good judgment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and teamwork skills are critical. Ability to network and develop relationships. Unquestionable integrity and trust.
  • Have a methodical and organized approach, have a keen attention to detail, in a self-sufficient approach.
